Background The Global Practice Management System (GPMS) went live in October 2017 with the implementation of the SAP / Fulcrum RDS solution. The Community of Excellence (CoE) is a key element of the permanent infrastructure that will support the ongoing management and improvement of our new business platform. The CoE will not be a physical entity; rather it will comprise of senior business leaders and process owners from across various regional offices. Wherever feasible, this service will be accessible 24x5 due to the mission critical nature to NRF of the service being supported. The Regional Business Information Process Analysts will act as an operational support to regions in the delivery of these objectives with the intent in the medium term to adhere to relevant service level agreements (SLAs). The Team Reporting to the EMEA Business Information Manager (who reports to the EMEA Head of Financial Operations), the EMEA Business Information Process Analyst will be a part of a team of analysts representing each Region. These analysts will operate as a virtual global team, and will liaise closely with the CoE BI Process Lead and other Regional Analysts. The Regional Analyst will ensure that the business information needs of the region and external customers are met, whilst operating in a globally consistent way. The individual should have experience with collaborating with others on report design and implementation, including advanced data manipulation and formatting. The Role (includes but not limited to): Working with Business Objects and SAP ECC reporting: Support regional delivery bespoke analysis Management reporting Client reporting Partner remuneration analysis and reporting Matter management analysis and reporting Troubleshooting reporting issues Working with the BEX Client Tools for analysis, adhoc reporting and testing. Support to billing teams to ensure that soft costs are uploaded to GPMS as necessary Support to finance teams to ensure that cost and budget rates are loaded to GPMS as required Global reporting Contribute to the GPMS Reporting knowledge base Other activities as directed by the EMEA Business Information Manager and EMEA Head of Financial Operations Skills and Experience Required Essential: Previous knowledge of reporting systems (Business Objects/Tableau) Developing reports Modifying reports Scheduling and bursting reports Troubleshooting BEX Client Tools (Designer/Analyser/Analysis for OLAP) Strong problem solver with a logical and methodical approach to issues Positive, committed and prepared to use initiative and learn Good SQL skills An advanced level of computer literacy and competence Excellent MS Excel skills Team player Good understanding of financial analysis and reporting Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail Desirable: Educated to degree level, preferably in a business, economics, marketing or finance related discipline Experience of legal firm or other professional service firm systems preferred Ability to become a subject matter expert on the GPMS business processes and systems Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with a client service driven approach Flexible approach to working hours and travel Ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and work under pressure with multiple tasks Ability to successfully collaborate with various regional stakeholders to achieve results At Norton Rose Fulbright we welcome receiving direct candidate applications via our careers page.
