Assistant Tax Manager (Partner Affairs & Tax)

The Team We are currently seeking an Assistant Tax Manager for the Partner Affairs & Tax team reporting to the Senior Manager and Head of Partner Affairs & Tax. The role will involve interfacing with Partners, Business Support Directors and Managers, local/regional accountants and external advisors. The Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparation and review of: Partnership profit sharing calculations Annual tax reserving calculations UK Partnership Tax computation, including Double Tax Relief claims Corporation Tax computations for the Partnership's UK service companies Maintenance and reconciliation of Partner tax reserve accounts Liaison with overseas advisors and Finance Controllers to ensure timely international tax compliance Management of Partner Capital, and managing banking relationships Supporting wider Finance Team colleagues with international Withholding Tax management and recovery Supporting wider Finance Team colleagues with international projects and initiatives, such as new office openings Management of the firm's PE risk exposure Dealing with ad hoc queries relating to areas such as Employment Tax and VAT Ad hoc support to Partner Accountant: preparation of Drawings & Distributions calculations and preparation and review of annual current account statements for all NRF LLP Partners Skills and Experience Required ACA/ACCA/CTA (or overseas equivalent) qualified, with solid experience working in a professional environment Ability to interact with senior stakeholders in a professional and eloquent manner Self-review, discipline and intellectual curiosity High and focused energy levels Practical experience of UK Partnership Tax Very comfortable using Excel Skills and Experience Desirable Corporation Tax experience Accounting/Audit experience International Tax experience Experienced user of Excel- Pivot tables, INDEX MATCH etc. Systems experience, ideally SAP At Norton Rose Fulbright we welcome receiving direct candidate applications via our careers page.
