Our client, a well established manufacturing company, located in Scarborough, North Yorkshire are looking for an apprentice trained Mechanical Fitter.
The main purpose of the role is to provide mechanical support across the site in order to maximise the plant efficiency and minimise downtime.
Duties will include:-
* To carry out breakdown, routine and planned maintenance of the plant, equipment and machinery.
* To react to plant problems and emergency breakdowns within a required timescale as and when required,.
* The issue of Permit to Works.
* To assist with training of colleagues.
* To apply Standard Operating Procedures etc.
* Ability to use a lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, welding and guillotine
* Ability to use pneumatics, hydraulics and site service equipment.
* Ability to read drawings.
HOURS OF WORK:
Monday to Friday (8am to 4.30pm)
