The client is a specialist c£35million UK division of a European group, manufacturing a broad range of fastening systems and technical products used primarily in the construction sector. There are 3 companies in the division operating from 2 sites and this key role which reports to the Managing Director carries responsibility for a small team of marketing professionals and is budget accountable.
The marketplace is highly competitive and the company has achieved its leading position through the design innovation and development of its high quality products which have strong brand recognition. There are 4 families of products within the portfolio and the routes to market are through various channels into the construction sector including specifiers, contractors, distributors and OEM’s plus export.
The role carries responsibility of the full marketing mix including product marketing, brand management, market research, competitor analysis, lead generation campaigns, PR, social media, on point messaging and supporting the divisions e-commerce strategy. You will interface significantly throughout the division at a senior level and there is a geographically spread sales team of c24 colleagues including a presence in the Middle East. A high calibre individual on an upward curve in their career is required. You will be graduate qualified and also ideally have a marketing diploma. You will have built your career in a manufacturing environment, B2B products ideally for the construction sector or in the building materials supply chain. You will have a real strength in developing brand profiles, delivering a marketing strategy, internal communications and team leadership and the effective integration of the marketing for all 3 companies in the division is a key responsibility. Additionally, the company has an Academy which fosters relationships with Universities, customers, architects and specifiers and you will also be responsible for raising awareness of this facility.
