Sales Assistant

Planet Contracting Limited has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Assistant to join their team based in Burgess Hill. You will be on a full time permanent basis, with a highly competitive salary of £16,800 - £19,000. Duties and Responsibilities of our Sales Assistant:

- Provide administrative and sales support to our Business Development, Sales and Specification Teams
- Generate enquiries and sales via the telephone and lead generation websites to ensure all sales opportunities are maximised
- Manage and process all sales enquiries, ensuring that all documentation is printed and passed over to the relevant teams
- Ensure all information is input accurately into the database and spreadsheets, and ensure that all systems are kept up to date
- Develop and maintain filing systems as required
- Learn and understand the role of Business Development Manager with a view to progressing your career within the Company in future.

Skills and experience required of our Sales Assistant;

- Previous experience in a similar office based role would be an advantage
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- A personable, outgoing and persuasive approach 
- The ability to build a rapport with customers
- Efficient and well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player
- Self-motivated with an ability to exercise initiative and work independently
- Computer literacy (MS Office Package, Excel, Word, Database Management, Internet)
- Previous experience of using Glenigans would be beneficial
- An interest in the business and a desire to build yourself a career within the Company
