About the Role
Opportunity Knocks
Key areas of focus will include…
- Being point person and day-to-day contact across a number of Barclaycard business units, both B2B and B2C.
- Learning and being passionate about the Barclaycard business, from consumer card propositions, to merchant terminals and business payment solutions.
- Building strong, trusting relationships with clients that lead them to think of Iris as a preferred agency partner. This is crucial as we operate in a competitive roster with a number of other agencies.
- Taking client briefs and interpreting them into clear, exciting and actionable internal briefs that will lead to creative outputs that are ‘for the forward’. Taking each brief as an opportunity to do some genuinely innovative and participative work to deliver the client objective
- Being confident across all integrated channels, from CRM and eCRM to moving image and content.
- Project management and control of budgets, timelines and resource for a number of projects simultaneously.
- Ability to forecast income for the agency across months and feed into overall agency numbers.

The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic, persuasive and entrepreneurial. They will need to feel comfortable developing a strategic point of view as well as rolling their sleeves up and dipping into the detail.
They should be looking for somewhere they can develop their skills and make a difference, a place where they can really develop their career. This role is just the start and this person should be aiming to be a future agency leader, capable of shaping strong CRM & eCRM platforms.
In the first instance they will need:
- Brilliant relationship development skills
- A clear and concise approach to building actionable insights in conjunction with Planning support
- An infectious passion for innovation in creative delivery
- You understand the importance of team - and how to unlock great performance and help people meet their potential - you will be a natural leader.
- A natural focus on digital & social developments
- A track record of successfully delivering integrated campaigns with digital & social at the heart
- Experience of working on finance brands and / or B2B
- Excellent financial management & organisational skills
- First-class presentation skills, they need to be able to bring an audience on the journey with them.
