WOMEN’S AID INTEGRATED SERVICES (WAIS)

Providing support to women and their children experiencing or escaping abuse throughout Nottingham and region.

We have an exciting opportunity for a INDIGO Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our dynamic team in an organisation which is at the forefront of domestic violence support. The appointed person will have a good understanding of the issues faced by hard to engage groups.

INDIGO Domestic Abuse Support Worker

(26 hours per week over 4 days)

Fixed Term Contract until September 2020

NJC Scale point 26 - £23,398 pro rata

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a high quality independent support service to women living in South Nottinghamshire who have or are experiencing domestic violence. They will provide short, medium and longer term interventions which will enable women and their children to be safer, achieve better health and wellbeing and longer term autonomy and resilience. This post is also required to work in partnership with the Police, Children’s Social Care and other agencies to ensure holistic and joined up service delivery.

Closing date for applications is Monday 23rd April 2018 9am.

Interviews will take place on Wednesday 2nd May 2018 (subject to change)
