Market Services
A Lloyd's department which provides services to members in relation to their underwriting at Lloyd's including maintenance of funds at Lloyd's (FAL) and distribution of profits and losses, whilst protecting capital security by ensuring that members meet capital requirements and regulatory demands.
The Role
To process all associated tasks for the settlement of all UK and International trades on behalf of Lloyd's members, ensuring Lloyd's regulatory and trustee obligations are consistently met
What Will You Do?
Oversight of the day to day activities of the teams delivering a range of support services required by members, Lloyd's and the regulators:
- Trained to a competent unsupported level in the settlement of Unit Trusts, equities, fixed income securities (including UK & US Treasury) and international trades within specified market deadlines
- Demonstrate full understanding of procedures and controls, identifying risks and discrepancies, updating and communicating any changes with the ability to resolve queries for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist in all associated tasks in order to open a Unit Trust Account
- Manage own workflow to ensure deadlines are met within internal Service Levels and risk managed
- Escalate problems and issues for resolution to senior team members where necessary
- To build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders ensuring a high level of satisfaction
- To ensure compliance with Lloyd's Trustee obligations, Financial crime and anti-money laundering regulations
- To maintain effective controls on all aspects of Settlements Services processing
What You'll Need
- Experience of providing customer service in the Financial Sector
- Experience of working to multiple fixed deadlines
- Experience of working within the rules and regulations of Financial Crime, Anti
- Money Laundering and CASS
- Knowledge of Financial markets and the UK and Global settlements processes
- Knowledge and understanding of the processes, controls and procedures relevant to the Settlement Services Team
- Knowledge of rules relating to membership of Lloyd's and trust funds
- Ability to work individually and within a team environment
- Ability to work accurately paying attention to detail
- Strong written and numerical skills
