Accounts Senior

A well established business based in Skipton is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior on a permanent full time basis (35hours per week). The company pride themselves of quality of product at an affordable price. The company is continuing to develop and has a strong reputation within their field. They are a family owned business that prides themselves on a friendly supportive working atmosphere.

The Accounts Senior will report into the Chief Financial Controller and will be responsible for:

• Preparing Management Accounts
• Year end accounts
• Accounts preparation
• Quality control of allocated assignments
• Account preparation skills
• Prior knowledge with accounts and tax software
• Ability to show commercial awareness
• Excellent communication skills
• Vat returns
• Transactional finance duties

In order to succeed you must have prior experience within a similar role, with experience preparing management accounts, completing bookkeeping task and working to strict budgets and deadlines. You will have several years experience using accounts packages such as Sage and have the ability to adapt quickly.. A background or experience within a practice environment desirable. Strong verbal and written skills are also key to the role.

This is a full time permanent position based in Skipton; hours of work are 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch (35hours per week). The salary is up to GBP25k per annum.
