£30,940 to £38,675 per annum
Permanent, Full time - 36 hours per week plus standby

In this exciting role, you’ll take responsibility for the coordination of the daily activities on the water treatment works and other water production assets in North Essex. Your focus will be to ensure the assets you are responsible for are fully optimised and that the treatment works and the site team meet high standards of performance in areas such as health & safety, water quality, environment and cost.
 
Supporting the Area Manager and the team, you’ll plan shift rotas and organise tasks ensuring that key activities are appropriately resourced at all times. You will be the key contact for all water quality aspects on your site and will be responsible for closely monitoring the Works performance alongside the controllers. They are looking for someone with a technical aptitude who is able to keep the team highly motivated and focussed on providing their highly valued product 24/7.

As a leader, you must be committed to achieving exceptional standards to meet team and company targets. Ideally, you will be qualified to degree level in a technical discipline such as chemistry; as a minimum they are looking for someone qualified to HNC level and with relevant work experience. Some supervisory experience is essential and it is important that you have technical knowledge developed in a regulated, process or manufacturing environment along with proven pragmatic problem solving abilities. Our client will provide you with the training to help you understand how the assets operate and work with you to achieve your development and career goals.
 
You will be required to participate in an area standby rota supporting activities out of hours across our Essex operating area.

The successful candidate will need a HNC in appropriate subject or time served in appropriate technical discipline, a high degree of technical aptitude for process demonstrated through practical application, a proven pragmatic problem solving abilities demonstrated through ability to analyse data and sound communications skills both verbal and written.
 
In addition, you will need to demonstrate that you have previous experience in a relevant process environment, a good understanding of Water Supply business unit objectives, a track record of working with others to implement technical solutions and demonstrable delivery of process change projects.
