BS Social Care are looking for support workers to provide care in a residential setting for adults with Autism in Stevenage.
As a support worker you are responsible for taking an active part in the daily lives of the residents living in the home. You will be required to support the residents in maximising their potential in a safe and caring environment.
The men living here display a number of challenging behaviours and require additional support with their personal care so previous experience in this area is necessary. You will need to have good clear communication skills and have the ability to think on your feet. In addition to this you will ideally be an open minded person capable of teaching the young people to make the most out of life.
To apply for this role you will need to possess a clean driving license and have 12 months paid experience working in care. Alternatively, 6 months experience with a relevant NVQ will be considered. An enhanced DBS is required, however if you do not currently possess this we can assist in your application process.
