WEC Group Ltd, established for over 35 years and now one of the North West’s leading multi award winning Engineering companies, is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Graphic and Web Designer to join our busy Engineering team based in Darwen, Lancashire. We are offering an excellent salary of £19,000 – £23,000 per annum depending on experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated Graphic and Web Designer, who wishes to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering firm.
Responsibilities of our Graphic and Web Designer:
- Design of corporate print media including brochures, catalogues, stationary, business cards, etc., using the Adobe CC Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
- Design of large format stand graphics for a series of tradeshows & events
- Design of company presentations and case studies
- Print Management - Liaise with local printers to source the most competitive rates
- Design print ready artwork for ads in trade magazines
- Design of our quarterly company newsletter
- Logo Creation and branding work for new divisions of the Group as and when required
- Web Design (HTML5 / Dreamweaver) – Help with the production and Optimization of new mobile responsive websites
- Help Maintain, Improve & Optimize the Group’s existing websites
- Create HTML emails to support the company’s digital marketing activity
- Optimization, cleaning and manipulation of product photos using Adobe Photoshop
- Contribute to the Group’s online & offline marketing strategies
- Research and put forward new design ideas as required by the business
- Assist the wider marketing team with ad-hoc duties
Knowledge, Skills, Experience required to become our Graphic and Web Designer:
- Strong working knowledge of all main Adobe CC Software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge of HTML & CSS
- Excellent organisational skills
- Experience working to tight deadlines
- Sound knowledge of web optimization & latest SEO tactics
- Past Experience in similar office based role (in-house or agency) (Desirable)
- Digital Media / Graphic Design Qualification (Desirable)
- Good knowledge Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects a plus, although not necessary (Desirable)
Graphic and Web Designer Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.00am - 5.00pm, 42.5hrs per week
