Finance Manager
Our client is a highly successful retail and distribution business. It seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to strengthen its team.
Job Purpose
To ensure that an efficient and accurate accounts function is maintained within the business.
Main Responsibilities:
*To manage the accounts receivable and payable ledgers
*To reconcile payments, readings and receipts of store PDQ transactions weekly
*To input data associated with business transactions and invoices into relevant accounting system
*To manage the payroll process and resolve bonus queries including end of year requirements
*To process weekly stores sales transactions and resolve reconciling issues
*To prepare and submit quarterly Value Added Tax returns.
*To manage the receiving and processing of invoices, expense forms and requests for payment
*To reconcile direct debits and manage mandates effectively
*To manage any petty cash transactions
*To monitor any repayments and credits due
*To reconcile utilities against readings and demands received
*To highlight irregularities
*To support other colleagues with financial queries and ad- hoc reporting
*To create a positive environment that results in stable financial systems and records
*To assist in periodic preparation of financial accounts and liaise with auditors
*To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested
Key Measures
*100% balance on reconciliation
*Evidence of and clear continual process improvement
*Clear increased productivity and profitability of stores
*Clear value for money and savings identified

*Practical accounting experience
