Lead and support the delivery of our public engagement communications on global responsibility in engineering and play a key role in growing our community. Engineers Without Borders UK leads a movement for change to embed global responsibility into the heart of engineering to ensure that people everywhere have equal access to the benefits engineering can bring. We do this by delivering an ongoing portfolio of projects and programmes as well through engaging our growing community of people who support our strategic vision. Our community currently consists of a wide range of stakeholders, including Individual Members, University Member Groups, STEM Ambassadors, volunteers, supporters and donors, the majority of which are engineers. After the successful launch of a new membership offering in 2017, Engineers Without Borders UK's community is growing fast and we are delivering a number of opportunities for the community to engage in and advocate for our work. We are now looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and insightful communications and engagement professional to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong communications skills, a proven track record of engaging and influencing communities and who is looking support an organisation to achieve its strategy through this. To succeed in this role you will need to be an excellent relationship builder, skilled and proficient in influencing others through written and verbal communications including social media, website content, newsletters and telephone calls, and be confident delivering presentations, events and training. Also key to success will be your high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritising where appropriate but delivering work on time and to a high standard. We expect you to be enthusiastic about the work that we do and it is desirable that you have some level of knowledge of engineering, the engineering sector and its community. Most important is the ability to develop a detailed understanding and have the skills to communicate our work clearly and effectively.
