Our client is looking to recruit a Client Co-ordinator to liaise with the Teenage Cancer Trust by engaging with Lead Nurses, Clinical Teams and Families of Teenagers and Young Adults affected by cancer.  The role will be undertaken at our client’s National Centre near Bristol and in hospitals, communities and other charities across the UK.

Salary: £26,000 pro-rata per annum
Contract: Fixed term, to start as soon as possible and ending 1 February 2019
Location: Outskirts of Bristol and UK outreach
Benefits: 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays + additional days over Christmas and New Year period

This is an outreach role with the purpose of referring clients, where appropriate, to our client‘s services.  This will include promoting Living Well courses to the clinical teams of TYA supporters, hosting courses as a supporter and maintaining a regular presence at hospitals across the region.  The role also requires liaison with other service providers, and community groups, to increase awareness and referrals to services.

Experience of working with people from all different backgrounds is essential as is working with clients with cancer or other long term health conditions.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience of developing relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.

To undertake the role, candidates must demonstrate excellent organisation and administration skills, possess a good understanding of the Whole Person Approach and have knowledge of working within the NHS or other healthcare or complementary therapy settings.  Due to the nature of the role, candidates must have a personal robustness and resilience with clear coping strategies for the challenging work involved.

This role requires a certain amount of travel in two main areas;

  • Bristol, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Devon and Cornwall
  • London and surrounding areas
