Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we're taking it on. We are supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer, and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight. As a Policy and Intelligence Officer, you will play a key role in collecting and analysing timely data and maintaining and updating the charity's knowledge base of health analytics. You will be performing desk based research into relevant cancer statistics and preparing Excel platforms that bring together a range of intelligence sources. This analysis will help to provide up to date and fresh insights into the landscape of pancreatic cancer and will guide and support our policy and campaigning work. You will have a key role in policy development for the charity on the basis of evidence and research. You will write policy positions, briefing papers, consultations responses and statistical reports for internal and external audiences. You will also play a key role in monitoring health and cancer policy, the research funding and infrastructure landscape across the four UK nations and implementation of the national Cancer Strategy and national guidelines for pancreatic cancer. You will also help to identify areas of unmet need for pancreatic cancer and less survivable cancers on which we should focus our policy and campaigning work. You will also have a leading responsibility in disseminating key information to staff as well as mentoring and coaching teams to use and access statistics and information to support their activities. This is a great place to work with highly committed and friendly staff. To apply please read the job pack, download supporting statement template and send your CV with the completed supporting statement to us. Closing date Friday 27 April 2018 at 9am Interviews Thursday, 10 May 2018 in London You must have the right to work in the UK when you apply.
