We have a fantastic opportunity for a Machine Operator based in Burnley. Working within the automotive industry, the Machine Operator will ensure the manufacture of compliant components within the specific requirements of the organisation and the customer.
The main responsibilities of the Machine Operators are:
• Operate production line equipment such as conveyor line, hoists and airlines
• Set and operate hand-controlled or computer-controlled machines
• Manufacture goods on a production line
• Load and unload components on and off machinery
• Adjust machine controls and monitor the production process and outputs
• Record how much raw material has been used during production and the number of items produced
• Finish products such as applying protective coatings (oil)
• Report equipment faults to shift leader
• Maintain cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machinery (5S, Lean)
• Ensure all Environmental; Health & Safety Requirements are being adhered to
The ideal Machine Operator will possess:
• Experience operating a Saw is desired
• Proven experience of successfully working within a manufacturing focused environment
• Production and manufacturing processes and techniques
• An understanding of Standard Operating Procedures required for the specific task/job
• A knowledge of product quality requirements
• Using simple engineering measuring instruments
The shifts are 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 10pm - 6am and there is requirement for the night shift
We are looking to interview as soon as possible with the successful candidates to start straight away
