Faculty / Directorate
The Estates & Commercial Services Directorate is large and diverse, employing circa 300 people, ranging from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, porters, leisure centre assistants to property management professionals, architects, project officers, CAD, space management, sustainability and energy and administrative personnel.
Role
We require an experienced individual to manage and grow the external hire of university premises and facilities. The hours of the post will be 09:00 - 17:30 Monday to Thursday and 09:00 -17:00 Friday with the flexibility to work evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the business. You will ensure the smooth running of all bookings, from initial enquiry through
to final accounting, providing a consistent first class standard of service to all customers.
Ideal Candidate
Following a multi-million pound campus development project, exciting times are ahead for De Montfort University with new opportunities for external hire presented. You will be self-motivated and proactive to creatively utilise these opportunities to maximise the revenue generated through venue hire. You will be highly organised with demonstrable experience of complex administrative processes, including end-to-end responsibility for your own projects. With experience of selling facilities within a corporate environment you will ensure enquiries are dealt with quickly, conduct viewings for prospective clients, build relationships with existing clients and successfully develop new clients.
