Diesel Generators, Emergency Diesel Standby Generator Sets, CHP, Combined Heat and Power, Gas Powered Generator Sets.
SALARY: GBP22,500 - GBP28,000 basic plus company vehicle, tools, PPE, 20 days paid holidays, full expenses, training, excellent pension, no weekend work.
LOCATION: Chester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Greater Manchester
To be suitable for this role you must have completed a full time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship, engine maintenance apprenticeship or similar and have experience working on large diesel generator sets, gas powered generator sets or CHP units.
Do you want the opportunity to work on some of the largest diesel generator sets in the UK with no evening call outs and no working at the weekend?
The company is very well established with a reputation for excellent engineers and customer service second to none.
Your role - will involve a lot of driving but limited nights away from home approximately 5-10 nights per annum, however, there is no evening call outs and as a rule no weekend working.
The equipment tends to be large diesel emergency standby power generators, gas powered generator sets, combined heat and power sets and some alternatively powered generator sets, clients include schools, universities, NHS, large building owners, innovation centres, shopping centres, leisure premises etc.
You may be completing routine planned maintenance, breakdown repair, fault finding, damage assessment, installation of upgraded control system, fitting of innovative new products or complete rebuilds and refurbishments of units that may not have been run for many years.
To be suitable for this post you do need to have experience in fault finding and repair on large diesel generator sets, with the ability to strip and rebuild the units down to the crank shaft if necessary, be adaptable, have real pride in your work and excellent communication skills.
