Are you a highly numerate, Mathematics, Economics or similar statistical graduate who enjoys manipulating data to help drive a business forwards? This is a unique opportunity to fulfil a range of analytical activities to support the development of the company's pricing infrastructure and ensure the continued growth of the organisation. This a newly created role with endless opportunities and can be shaped by the successful individual. You will be monitoring the existing pricing model, whilst continuously investigating and implementing new models, using innovative techniques and statistical methods. As such, prior knowledge of statistics, as well as excellent problem-solving skills are both essential, as well as knowledge of SQL and advanced MS Excel.
Responsibilities
• Support the design, development and implementation of a new pricing model
• Track the impacts of price changes on core business metrics
• Validate and challenge cost price changes
• Develop and implement a series of pricing trials/tests to further develop understanding around areas such as; price elasticity and promotional effectiveness
• Maximise revenue and profit through the application of pricing techniques
• Implement price perception improvements by ensuring key marketing and sales messages are implemented alongside pricing
• Present model summaries to support pricing and customer lifetime value proposals
• Present your research to key stakeholders who will devise future commercial strategies based upon your findings
You will have:
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to manipulate complex data is essential
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills with a commercially focused mentality
• Ability to develop and enhance process and spreadsheets of a complex nature
• Experience of SQL is essential
You will have a degree in a scientific or quantitative discipline with some experience in an analytical role within a commercial environment. A passion for analysing data is a must.
