Job purpose:
To manage a team and to liaise with other care agencies and care professionals, to directly support children, young people and their families through the provision of appropriate intervention services that achieve positive and agreed outcomes, in line with the business plan.

  • Must have at least 2 years' experience of management within a children, young people or adults service (e. social care, teaching support, youth work).
  • Must have experience of facilities management with relevant health & safety training
  • Must have experience of successfully working with multi agency partners
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by individuals, children, young people and families facing a variety of issues - eg homelessness, financial difficulties, parenting, childcare support and mental health issues.
  • Managing and inspiring others to develop innovative and informed solutions to the challenges faced by others in order to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
  • The ability to ensure a safe and positive work environment is achieved through compliance with all safeguarding, safer recruitment, health, safety, and other support policies and procedures within the defined area of responsibility
  • Clear and sensitive communication skills with children, young people and adults, ensuring the Voice of the Child/ Family / Individual is heard and acted upon.
  • Ability to manage and recognise personal resilience levels and where / how to access support.
  • Ability to follow local procedures in centre management.
  • Experience and ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with Data Protection Policies and Procedures.
