There are excellent working hours of Monday to Thursday 8 - 4 and Friday 8 - 3, equating to a 36 hour working week. A competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 is on offer plus an amazing benefits package including 20 days holiday, annual bonus, life assurance, pension and many more!

As a Workshop Supervisor, the role includes Disassembly, Cleaning, Inspection and Re-assembly of mechanical systems, particularly transmission systems, gearboxes and rotating equipment. Use of precision measuring equipment to make decisions on passing/failing components Use of overhead and Jib cranes to move heavy equipment safely Use of basic workshop equipment such as air tools, abrasive wheels, hydraulic presses Maintain good safety, quality and efficiency levels Flexibility of skills to carry out testing, basic wiring and mechanical fitting Maintain good housekeeping, awareness of and adherence to health and safety requirements Involvement in improvement activities as required Contribute to daily team stand up meetings Ability to complete technical documentation as work.

The ideal candidate would have a Minimum of four years experience in mechanical fitting, preferably on transmission systems, gearboxes and rotating equipment preferably time-served apprentice trained or other relevant qualification A good understanding of machining practices Experience in safety critical environments such as Rail could be advantageous
