Salary range: £17,473 - £18,788 + benefits + overtime

Holidays:  Year 1 is 33 days, rising to 38 including bank holidays after 5 years

What are they looking for?

They are enjoying a positive growth with an increase in residential placements, so they are recruiting for talented Night Residential Support / Care Workers for their children’s homes.  These are waking night positions and will work in their fantastic 4-bedroom homes on site at Cheadle Hulme near Handforth, supporting individuals aged 3-18 years old.  Experience working in a care setting with children or young adults with complex learning disabilities and communication, behavioural and sensory impairments is preferred but not essential.   Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare is advantageous.

What are the roles?

These are full time permanent roles and will involve providing care and support for their children and young people including personal care needs, mobility, nightly routine support, communication, independent living skills and learning.  Some challenging behaviours may present, so similar experience is preferred but not essential.

What are the hours?

Full flexibility over 7 nights is required (37.5 hours per week)
The shift time is 9.45pm – 7.45am
The roles operate on a rotating shift pattern and include working every other weekend

Our client is a national charity supporting children and young adults with complex learning disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK.  They provide care and education, for children and young people aged between 3-25 years, in their homes, at their school and college and through their short breaks services.
