Senior Catering Assistant
Hours: 30 per week (includes weekend work)

Hartfields is a retirement village for people aged 60 plus who want to live in their own home, within a vibrant and active community. There are 242 self-contained properties which are home to over 300 residents. The catering function here aims to provide a coffee shop, restaurant and licensed bar service to those residents in addition to over 100 on-site staff and the general public.
About this role:
To provide a high quality customer service experience to residents, guests and visitors that reflect the vision for Hartfields Retirement Village and contribute to the overall wellbeing of customers. Ensuring the restaurant and coffee shop provide a relaxing, comfortable environment and within that, all staff provide excellent customer service and care.
You will be responsible for the supervision of the catering areas, including service of meals and snacks, the essential record keeping in relation to all the functions of the catering area, maintaining an oversight of hygiene and safety in the catering areas, the direction and supervision of staff and those services associated with front of house activities.
Assisting in the preparation and service of meals at Hartfields you will be pivotal in maintaining a high level of quality in terms of service, cleanliness and customer experience.
Ideally you will have experience of working in a fast paced, vibrant environment and be able to demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a team as well as stepping up to take responsibility when required.
Qualified to NVQ 2 and possessing experience gained in a catering or customer facing role whilst not essential would be seen as desirable qualities.
You will be required to undertake a DBS check for this position.
