Our client is looking to recruit an Equipment Control Coordinator to provide support for the business growth. The purpose of the job is to assist in the EU region. Monitoring stock availability, repairs to containers and working alongside other staff to ensure a smooth running of the department.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Equipment Control Coordinator:
- BSA empty fill-up control / coordination
- Region-wise EQP inventory control (empty repositioning and evacuation control)
- Off-hire management
- cabotage management and invoicing
- Depot facility contract coordination, filing and system upgrading coordination
- Shunting control
- Analysing empty container traffic flow for cost saving suggestion (shunting / coastal & local empty positioning and shunting)
- Major equipment KPI performance report (weekly to EHQ and SEL HQ)
- Tasks subject to newly given by SEL HQ
Education and Qualifications:
- Good level of education preferably A level of equivalent or a degree
Background and experience required for the Equipment Control Coordinator:
- Minimum of one-year experience in the shipping industry
- Excellent PC skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Experience of report writing
- Competent written & oral communication skills
- Able to work with tight deadlines & under pressure
- A valid EU work permit or the right to work in the UK
