FURNITURE FITTER - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Universal Office Solutions is an independent office furniture specialist, with warehouses in both the North and South of England. A vacancy has arisen in our Southern depot in Crediton, Devon to join our team of furniture fitters.

The role involves the assembly of flat packed furniture within the warehouse as well as in various locations around the country.

After driving to your delivery location(s), you will need to carry the goods into buildings (which can be heavy) take them to their desired location (sometimes upstairs) unwrapped and assemble the goods, leaving them ready to use for our clients. 

Using our own fleet of 3.5T company vehicles we offer a personal delivery service ensuring that any furniture purchased through us arrives safely anywhere in the UK mainland.

You will also be required to load and unload vehicles, plus help with unloading of the occasional container of furniture. 

While no experience is required, to be considered for this role, you’ll need to be motivated, reliable, have great customer service skills and eager to learn.  

Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm with up to two 3am starts per week.

Starting wage £8.50 per hour overtime is paid before 6am and after 6pm at time and a half.

The candidate must ideally have a full clean UK valid driving licence and be 25 or over for insurance purposes.

CSCS card and manual handling training advantageous but not essential
