Graphics & Digital Marketing Assistant

We have an opportunity for a Graphics & Digital Marketing Assistant to join the marketing team based at our Head Office in Huddersfield on a full time, permanent basis. Encompassing creative design, production, social media and digital marketing, you will be a key member of the small but busy marketing team and will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.

To be successful in this role you must have a good understanding of relevant design software packages including Adobe Creative Suite, Word Press, MailChimp and Microsoft Office.  You must be confident in the creation and delivery of print and digital based media.  Experience with large format print production equipment and vinyl application is beneficial although not essential.

The Myers Group is a well-established family owned, traditionally run group of companies employing approximately 350 people throughout Yorkshire. The Graphics & Digital Marketing Assistant will create artwork for each of the 4 main brands within the business – Myers Building Supplies, Readymix Huddersfield, Johnsons Wellfield and Myers Skip Hire.

Your key responsibilities as our Graphics & Digital Marketing Assistant will include:

- Design brochures, POS, signage, posters, literature, packaging and exhibition displays whilst always adhering to the design brief, brand guidelines and project deadlines

- Creation of artwork for web, social media and email marketing campaigns for each of the 4 brands within the business

- Manage graphics, signage production and vehicle livery, ensuring all items are formatted correctly for print production and application

- Liaise with and co-ordinate the work of relevant external agencies and print suppliers including managing print quotes

- Ensure appropriate and up to date content across all digital media channels and maintain graphics database with relevant product and project imagery

To become our Graphics & Digital Marketing Assistant you must have the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office is essential

- Good understanding of print and production techniques including large format is essential

- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Experience of copywriting would be beneficial

- Knowledge of photography and videography

- Creative, with the ability to formulate a plan and confidently present ideas and designs to all stakeholders

- An interest in and knowledge of digital marketing including social media, email marketing, website development and maintenance would be extremely beneficial

- Experience in the use of Word Press and MailChimp would be beneficial

- Excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines is essential

- Good organisation and planning skills together with ability to prioritise and manage own workload with assistance from supportive team

- Able to manage external agencies and to develop relationships with key media contacts

- Practical skills relating to in-house graphics and signage production including the installation of signs and application of vehicle graphics is desirable although not essential

- Full clean driving licence
