A new and exciting opportunity is available for an experienced, professional Executive Assistant to work within the Chief Executive’s Office to provide comprehensive professional support to the Chief Executive, initially on a one years fixed term contract.


Executive Assistant
Full time (35 hours per week) – 12 month fixed term contract
Grade 5, starting salary £26,727.00pa

The key purpose of this role is to provide assistance to the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team by providing senior administrative and secretarial support.

This role requires high level, accurate and detailed communication with key stakeholders such as the Chief Executive, Senior Managers, all staff, Senior Members and 3rd Party service providers and is vital to the efficient and smooth running of the Chief Executive’s Office. 

The communication elements of this role will ensure that the Chief Executive’s resources are appropriately informed and available as required to meet all initiatives and challenges that the Society may have.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience of working as an Executive Assistant providing administrative support at board level Experience of working within a complex governance system, preferably in an membership organisation, education or health related sector Significant experience in running an administrative process from beginning to end Demonstrable experience of problem solving , working on own initiative, prioritising tasks and managing competing demands High attention to detail, ability to critically analyse information (written and oral), ability to produce formal written reports for a range of audiences

A willingness to travel is essential, as is the ability to keep on top of multiple projects and tasks and to work flexibly.
