The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity arising from a cross cutting review of enforcement services across the Council which aims to deliver a joined up customer focussed service that is both responsive to customer needs and also aims to manage and respond to demand by adopting a strong intelligence led approach to service delivery and maximising digital opportunities.

As the manager of this service you will deliver on the Council's public protection agenda for licensing, planning enforcement and building control services and manage team leaders specialising in these respective fields.

You will be responsible for working with management teams and members to support a proactive compliance culture; from implementation of policy standards through to investigation and managing enforcement and regulatory contact. You will also support a coaching culture that drives continuous improvement in performance using technology at every opportunity to improve services and service productivity.

You must have expertise, experience and a relevant qualification in a planning or licensing enforcement field with a genuine desire to modernise and improve services for the residents of Chorley as well as employers, investors and visitors.
