Impact Innovation and Business (IIB)
Impact and Partnership Development Officer (Agri-tech Cornwall and Isles of Scilly and South West Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications)
This is a full time post incorporating two part-time 0.5FTE (2.5 days per week) project roles both seeking to support research, development and innovation within the broad agri-tech sector. The post is available immediately until the end of December 2019 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
Ranked among the top 100 universities in the world, Exeter has become one of the UK's fastest growing and fastest rising research universities. We are now investing in a new Directorate of Innovation, Impact and Business to drive forward our already strong relationships with business; grow our potential for significant impact; and galvanise regional innovation.
We are seeking an applicant to work alongside two exciting projects supporting research, development and innovation activities with SME's, partner organisations and stakeholders. The post holder will ideally have a demonstrable interest and understanding of the agri-tech sector and the role that satellite applications may have in this sector. They will be confident in working at the interface of researchers and businesses, identifying and developing new project opportunities and supporting project management and delivery.
The post holder will work part-time for the Agri-tech Cornwall and Isles of Scilly ERDF (ESIF) funded programme and the South West Centre of Excellence for Satellite Application. Where relevant, activity will be integrated across the two projects.
The project is based at the University of Exeter, Penryn campus, Cornwall.
The University offers some fantastic benefits including 41 days leave per year, options for flexible working, numerous discounts at leading retailers, an onsite gym, a cycle to work scheme and a stunning campus environment in the heart of Cornwall.
