The Company helps everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built. They bring six extraordinary palaces to life, including the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace, the Banqueting House at Whitehall, and Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.

They are currently recruiting for a dynamic, confident, and friendly Welcome Team Leader to inspire their established and skilled admissions team. Your challenge will be to lead the team in delivering consistent 5 star customer service and providing a warm welcome to Kensington Palace visitors from across the UK and around the world.

The Role:

Leading from the front, your duties will involve managing and developing your admissions team, making sure that five star service and presentation standards are upheld. A key aspect of this role is ensuring that donations, Gift Aid, guidebooks and membership are promoted and commercial targets met. An expert in cash management and ticketing systems, you will be expected to ensure that you and your team follow correct cash handling procedures and that stock levels are effectively managed.

The Candidate:

People and performance management skills and experience are crucial. Whether roster planning for your permanent team, or arranging seasonal, casual and volunteer support, you will need to be well organised, have excellent planning skills, and be solution oriented.

To ensure the smooth daily operations of the Welcome Team, you will have proven face-to-face customer service, cash handling and management experience. Passion and flair for proactively engaging with all visitors, guests and internal customers is essential, as is experience of working in a target driven environment with an education to GCSE level or equivalent.

Experience working with the EPOS ticketing systems, language skills and knowledge of fire, health, safety and security procedures are desirable.
