Booking In Controller

Our client is one of the UK’s largest distributors of leading branded and own-branded medical consumables to all areas of the healthcare market. Part of the fast growing FTSE 100 international and outsourcing group, they offer a range of traditional and bespoke supply chain solutions to meet their customers’ requirements in today’s rapidly changing healthcare environment.

They are now looking for a Booking In Controller to manage the goods in booking in process for their four mainland depots.

Dealing with emails and phone calls from suppliers who are wanting to book goods in, you will pro-actively contact suppliers to arrange booking in of deliveries and liaise with the Warehouse Goods In Teams to ensure level loading of inbound goods. You will also be responsible for chasing overdue purchase orders and interfacing with Inventory Controllers to ensure the correct prioritisation of goods.

This role demands a highly organised individual who can create and maintain excellent working relationships with key people at each site. With excellent interpersonal skills and high attention to detail, you will have the ability to analyse and quickly breakdown problems in a logistical manner, using appropriate initiative to make timely decisions which take into effect that decision will have, both short and long term. Computer literate to include Microsoft Office, you will have the ability to contribute fully to the overall supply chain goals and be commercially aware to allow you to maximise opportunities.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:00 until 16:00.
