Our client has a long history of developing innovative solutions to bring a better quality of life to the world. Their Electronics division is a diversified manufacturer of electronic devices and value-added manufacturing services.

They provide their customers with the manufacturing capabilities and purchasing power of a global Electronics Manufacturing Services provider.

Due to their continued growth, they are now looking for a Quotation Specialist to join them.

The Quotation Specialist Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quotation Specialist to join a successful team.

As the Quotation Specialist, you will process orders for materials and merchandise from sales staff and direct customer contact. You will maintain customer files with all relevant information, give price quotations, complete order sheets and check the price and quantity of each item listed.

In addition, the Quotation Specialist will be expected to distribute order sheets to respective departments and coordinate with departments regarding order status, shipping dates, prices, product availability and back orders.

Key Responsibilities of the Quotation Specialist:

• Generate full turnkey quotations, including labour and material costs and lead times
• Generate turnkey quotations using customer supplied files and quoting software
• Extensive product knowledge of electronic component distribution business
• Interface with customers in order to obtain appropriate computer files and documents
• Meets with vendors/suppliers to build strong and profitable relationships that benefit the company and gives vendors/suppliers incentive to drive more project opportunities
• Communicate critical information to purchasing and field associates that request information pertaining to vendors, products, pricing and competitors
• Knowledge of bill-of material and part numbering formats
• Ability to manipulate/convert different file types (i.e. Excel, Word, Text) to standardised formats required for software importation

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience within a similar role and working in a fast paced environment
• Strong initiative and ability to handle increasing responsibility over time
• Excellent time management/organizational skills with ability to meet important deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to build rapport with suppliers with proven experience of managing suppliers/customer
• Experience in an electronics manufacturing organisation helpful
• Strong IT skills required (word, excel, windows, ERP systems)
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal)
• Experience of Quotewin advantageous
• Knowledge of Electronic Manufacturing supply chain essential
• Engineering experience advantageous
