NEBOSH Certified Health & Safety Manager with Manufacturing experience.
Your new company
You will be joining an FMCG manufacturing business that supply through the majority of major retail supermarket chains across the UK. The site employs in excess of 200 staff, the manufacturing plant contains technically advanced machinery to undertake their varied manufacturing processes; along with onsite warehousing, logistics and engineering functions. They have a good Health and Safety record and culture within the business, they are looking to employ a Health and Safety Manager to maintain their standards and get H&S further integrated within each function.
Your new role
As Health and Safety Manager you will provide professional and strategic advice, guidance and on-going support to all employees to help ensure the achievement of the site's Health and Safety vision. You will also take ownership for coordinating all Health and Safety policies across the site, as well as being responsible for making any improvements where appropriate; ensuring the business is equipped and can meet its legal responsibilities and that the site continues to drive standards towards an exemplary status. Furthermore you will take on all investigations of accidents, reporting to management and providing H&S training to all employees.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be NEBOSH qualified to a minimum of Certificate level and be able to evidence good exposure within a similar role within a busy factory/manufacturing site. This role could suit an experienced Officer/Advisor who is looking for their first management role within a business where you can build a successful career; alternatively you could be an experienced Manager who is keen to take a good business to the next level. You will be passionate about Health and Safety and have the communication skills to be able to engage with staff at all levels across the business and be able to make suitable recommendations to senior management on relevant areas.
What you'll get in return
You will have full ownership of Health and Safety within a 24/5 manufacturing facility and will be having an involvement across the whole business. The salary on offer is between £35-38,000 depending on experience and the company offers a good general benefits package.
