Temporary contract to 31 October 2019

We are looking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated and innovative individual to the post of Associate Lecturer Services Assistant.  You will provide administrative support to members of the Open University’s academic/administrative staff on a team basis with other Assistants both in Cardiff and across the UK.  You will be responsible for dealing with general queries from Associate Lecturers and students, providing information and advice, whilst supporting the Staff Tutors of several faculties.  You will also provide support for Associate Lecturer staff development events and conferences.

You will have relevant work experience within a large complex organisation and a good standard of general education possessing a minimum qualification of GCSE/GCE O level grade ‘C’ (or equivalent e.g. NVQ level 2, BTEC) in a range of subjects including English and Mathematics.  You will be pro-active, flexible and helpful team player, with strong organisational and communication skills and be highly IT literate with proven competence in the use of Microsoft Office and other databases.
