1 Full Time (Based at Carshalton) & 1 0.8 FTE (Based at Kingston)

The Learning Support Service consists of a successful and well established team providing support for learners who have SEND across the South Thames College’s Group. We have the in house expertise to provide successful placements for a significant number of learners with high needs support requirements.

We are looking for two experienced specialist teachers who can demonstrate a person-centred approach and a track record of improving the achievement rates of learners on mainstream course with a wide range of SpLD.

You should have experience of teaching 1:1, small groups and whole groups; ideally in the post 16 sector from level 1 to level 3. You must have a teaching qualification and a recognised specific learning difficulties qualification for teaching and assessing for exam access arrangements to complete form 8s. We can only shortlist fully qualified candidates.

You must also have a good working knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014; and the skills and knowledge to act as one of our Lead Professionals conducting EHCP reviews and contributing to other EHCP processes.

The posts are for Kingston and Carshalton Colleges. Both roles will have some multi college working if needed.
