Property Administrator required to support Commercial Property Team, Chertsey, Surrey GBP22-25K + benefits

Your new company

Your new company is a well-established Property Consultancy offering services across multiple sectors, specialising in property management and lettings.

As a business, they have consistently delivered the highest standard of professionalism and expertise since they were first established over 50 years ago.

Due to the growth of their commercial property department, and with it the size of their portfolio, the opportunity has presented itself for a property administrator to join the business and provide administrative support to the commercial property department.

Your new role

Your new role will involve working with, and assisting various members of the commercial team, and you will be in regular contact with Directors and the Financial Controller overseeing bill management, updating property databases And general office duties including managing orders of stock and supplies.

You will be required on occasion to visit sites in order to carry out minor property inspections, and will be expected to liaise with landlords, tenants regarding queries and disputes.

On advice the advice of Surveyors you will be responsible for instructing contractors in the event of maintenance issues and will be required to arrange third party property inspections in order to fully maintain Landlords' statutory obligations.

In addition to this you will be involved in the administration and management of Landlord consents and licenses for subletting, assignments or alterations, and lease renewals / rent reviews.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed you will need to be able to communicate well with colleagues, clients and third parties of varying backgrounds and professional levels, and maintain a professional demeanour during face to face, phone, or written correspondence.

You will be highly organised, proactive and possess a keen eye for detail.

Logic and initiative will be important in this role as you will need to think on your feet in order to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

You will need to work well as part of a team and strive to offer support towards a common goal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook will be essential in this role, as you will be using them daily.

Ideally the successful candidate will possess practical experience in a commercial property environment, and a background of liaising or managing third party solicitors or other professionals is an added bonus.

Experience in dealing with services charges is also desirable but can be developed on the job. A full UK driving licence would also be desirable but not essential.
