Workshop Planner – Western Commercial Broxburn

Location:        Broxburn

Hours:             40 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm)

Salary:             £22,000

 

The Eastern Western Motor Group, Scotland’s leading, prestige, independent motor retailer, is currently recruiting for a Commercial Vehicles Workshop Planner for their purpose built busy Western Commercial site in Broxburn.

This is a new role in the business as we centralise all of our HGV PMI planning and scheduling, at present this is managed at local site level.  All scheduling requirement for our 4 sites in Bellshill, Broxburn, Govan and Dundee will be managed via this role.  This will also include the planning and scheduling of other compliance related job types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and organising by direct liaison with customers in relation to HGV vehicle PMI scheduling.
  • Planning and organising by direct liaison with customers other aspects of HGV compliance scheduling such as tachometer calibration and annual Ministry tests (manage Broxburn and Govan ATF Lane bookings ensuring workshop utilisation by calling customer database for work).
  • Planning and co-ordinating Mercedes-Benz Up-Time.
  • Work with colleagues and other teams across the branches to provide a seamless service to customers.
  • Maintain the data quality of the DMS database and Truckfile.
  • Ensure opportunities for sales by other teams are followed up by the most appropriate specialist.
  • Support for other members of the CRM Team (holidays etc).
  • Assistance with any other task as directed.

Skills & Experience:

The applicant must have:

  • Previous experience in the planning, organisation and direct liaison with customers in relation to HGV vehicle PMI scheduling. 
  • Previous experience in other aspects of HGV compliance scheduling such as tachometer calibration and annual Ministry tests.  Ideally the candidate will have experience of PMI scheduling as part of a centralised function and on a larger scale.
  • Excellent IT, organisational and inter personal skills are a must for the role
