This Managed IT Specialist is looking to recruit a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant.
Purpose of Job:
- To provide technical pre-sales assistance to the Client Development team.
- The role is intended to comprise of roughly 70% working on new business opportunities and 30% on product development.
- Possess a strong understanding of sector needs/trends and assist in developing the product roadmap, ensuring our offerings remain market leading
- Assist in producing product marketing collateral to support the Hybrid Cloud service
- Provide technical training to Project Management & Technical staff to ensure they are suitably skilled in the provision of services.
- Developing sales proposals, differentiating between product offerings at a technical level.
- Work with the Project Management team to articulate customer requirements and ensure a smooth transition from sale to delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design of IT solutions using a variety of technologies. Responsibilities include;
o Gathering and interpreting customer requirements.
o Translating requirements into technical recommendations that meet customer needs.
o Liaising with engineers to develop professional proposals.
o Technical assessment of customer requests including the commercial estimation of engineer effort.
o Producing professional proposals.
o Maintaining an understanding of relevant markets to identify opportunities.
- Conducting technical audits of prospective sites
- Working with Marketing to ensure the web site content reflects up-to-date developments in our portfolio
- Production of marketing collateral
- Development of product pillars with particular responsibility for the Public Cloud offering..
- Provision of pre-sales assistance to the Account Managers.
- Provision of quality technical training to Project Management & Technical team to ensure delivery and support are suitably skilled
Skills and Knowledgebase: Technical Pre-Sales Consultants must have a good technical grasp of MS server, public cloud and Citrix technologies with an understanding of typical applications. Experience of at least four of the following technologies is should be demonstrated;
- MS server and desktop technologies:
o Active Directory
o Windows Server and desktop operating systems
o Exchange
o Internet Information Services (IIS)
o Remote Desktop Services
o Clustering (MSCS)
o MS SQL Server
o O365
o Azure
- Citrix XenApp
- Awareness of WAN/LAN connectivity sufficient to provide advice to customers
- VMware/Hyper-V
- Unix-like operating systems
- Monitoring applications
- MDM solutions
- Enterprise hardware for servers and storage e. SAN
- Public Cloud technologies
- Hybrid concepts
- Cloud PBX and Unified Communications
Full driving license required
