We are currently recruiting a skilled CAD Technician to join our existing engineering team and assist our Operations Manager in all aspects of CAD / Operational work to enable completion of all contracted sales orders on time, to budget and to client’s satisfaction.
Who we are:
We specialise in the design, supply and installation of outdoor recreational spaces and associated works. Due to continued growth, we are seeking to strengthen our Operations team with the appointment of a CAD Technician.
CAD Technician Key Responsibilities:
The CAD Engineer will be required to work within Company ISO9001 procedures to complete mechanical design / configuration work as required to manufacture and install equipment ordered by customers to the required European or British safety standards.
Specifically, the role will involve the following activities on a daily or as required basis:
+ Design or modification of new or existing product to meet clients requirements and ensure product conformity to relevant industry safety standard to include bills of materials, manufacturing drawings and other information as directed by line manager
+ Configuration / layout of products to meet safety standards and site constraints and prepare installation documents
+ Identification of product and site requirements for each sales contract
+ Production and issue of technical installation instructions to enable correct manufacture and installation of products to the necessary industry safety standards
+ Provide product Bill of Material details
+ Preparation of after sales, ‘as built’ and maintenance procedure information for customers
+ Customer and supplier co-ordination and internal communication as required to achieve the above
+ In addition to the day to day activities, the following functions are required to be considered on a regular basis or to agreed timescales
+ Assist with the presentation / illustration of products to secure sales contracts
+ Establish and manage product enhancement, cost review and development schedules
+ Assist with the certification of ‘own brand’ products to relevant safety standard
Personal Attributes / Experience/ Qualifications/ Knowledge
+ Degree in industrial design, mechanical engineering or related discipline, or proven experience as draftsman within a manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to produce detailed 2D drawing for manufacturing/installation, according to industry standards, able to demonstrate a proficiency in 3D CAD software an advantage
+ Knowledge of manufacturing process, especially for metal and wood.
+ Proactive attitude, problem solving profile, creativity, flexibility.
+ Excellent communication skills.
