LEAD IT ENGINEER
FULL TIME – ARDWICK, MANCHESTER
Salary – Band 6 Point 29-31 £25,951 - £27,668.
Actual Salary - £25,951
36.25 hours per week 8am to 4pm
Full time including school/academy closure periods
25/30 day’s holiday per year (depending on length of continuous service)

Situated on Stockport Road, a main route into Manchester city centre, we are in the heart of the Ardwick community and just next door to Longsight. We are a local school for local children, and we are here to provide a first class education for the pupils who attend the school, and to serve the community.
This is an essential post within the Academy and as such the post holder will be expected to provide proactive and reactive hardware, software and peripheral support to all staff, students, Trustees/Governors, visitors and third parties in line with school/academy and Trust requirements.
What are we looking for?
- An individual that is educated to degree level within an ICT related subject or at least 5 years working as an ICT engineer within the Education Sector
- Previous experience in an ICT helpdesk/ICT support role in an education establishment
- Experience supporting a range of technologies, including but not limited to; laptops, PC’s, iPads, Surfaces, Projectors and IWB’s
- In-depth knowledge in a variety of Audio Visual technologies (including but not limited to interactive TV’s, Projectors Main Hall AV solutions, lighting / sound desks and hazers)
- Detailed understanding of the latest Microsoft Windows Operating Systems & Microsoft Office packages
- Approachable, confident and articulate – the post holder will need the ability to convey technical issues / resolutions to users with a varying level of IT
