Fundraising Manager (Trusts / Grants)

An exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Manager to join the Funding Partnerships Team, with a leading national charity.

Our client is a national charity that's been supporting people with learning disabilities since 1962.

Position: Trust Fundraising Manager
Location: Central Bristol or home based dependent upon geographical location
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: GBP33,786 per annum (Plus home working allowance if homebased)

About the Role:

The Fundraising Manager role is an excellent opportunity to join a team of highly successful and experienced fundraisers to utilise and enhance your skills to make a key contribution to the people they support, ensuring they have every chance to live the best life possible.

You will lead on income generation from their portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, including:
- researching new funding prospects
- collating project information for applications
- writing persuasive and inspiring applications
- compiling informative impact reports
- cultivate and steward supporters
- accurate records are maintained

About You:

The successful candidate must be an experienced grants and trusts fundraiser either educated to a degree level or with a solid track record of Trust fundraising experience.

Experience required:
- a substantial track record of successfully securing grants for capital and revenue projects
- a thorough knowledge of grant making Trusts and of different methods to research them, including the use of grant giving research databases
- demonstrable experience of personally securing significant gifts (GBP100k +) from Trusts
- developing and delivering against income and expenditure budgets
- a thorough understanding of the UK philanthropy market & of donor care / development techniques in Trust fundraising.

You will hold a current UK/EU driving licence with use of a car. Flexibility to work at weekends and in the evenings to fit in with donor meetings etc. and have the ability to travel within the UK with occasional overnight stays are both essentials.
