Cleaner

Willow Childcare Centre in Plympton require a part-time Cleaner to join their team to clean the centre to a high standard.  The role involves sweeping, vacuuming and washing floors, cleaning toilets and washbasins, washing surfaces, paintwork, windows, mirrors and doors.  There will be the need to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff and attend meetings and relevant further training, outside work hours if necessary.

Hours:  15 per week, Monday – Friday between 6.00 and 9.00 pm.

Essential skills

• Experience in cleaning
• Knowledge of appropriate use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and materials
• Knowledge of safer moving and handling techniques
• Ability to choose appropriate equipment
• Ability to keep records, stock-take and replenish stock
• Commitment to working as a member of the team

Desirable skills

• Awareness of chemicals and their uses
• Awareness of risk assessment procedures
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
