Community Empowerment Officer

Based from Newport Road, Cardiff

Fixed Term Contract up to 6 Months (Maternity Cover)

£15,833.00 plus a Car User Payment

Role of the Community Empowerment Officer…..

 

The Community Empowerment Officer will work with Linc’s tenants to assist them to sustain their tenancies, empowering them to build on their strengths, providing the basis for long-term sustained change.

 

Supporting victims of domestic abuse is also a key element to the role. You will ensure victims know where to seek help when they need it and offer a range of housing related practical measures to assist them. 

 

What Skills Do You Need To Have…..

 

You will have experience of working with individuals with different support needs, partnership working and liaising with specialist support services. You will also be experienced in assessing an individual’s support needs, agreeing outcomes and working with others to achieve goals.

 

A team player, you must be able to interact with colleagues, tenants and external agencies and be IT literate including using Microsoft Office packages.  You will need to drive for Linc business purposes and have access to a vehicle insured for business use.

 

Your ability to be empathetic and pragmatic is key. You should be flexible and innovative. This is a relatively new area of work for Linc so you will have an opportunity to help develop the service further.

 

A DBS check is required for this role.
