Production Operators

This company is one of the UK's largest manufacturers and suppliers of high quality polythene, plastic products and bags with a wide range of applications for UK and European Markets

They are seeking to recruit "Production operators" for their extrusion and conversion areas.

Extrusion - This is a responsible & rewarding role which involves setting machines and checking the polymer blends and speeds to the required specifications to achieve high quality film and to achieve targets and keeping scrap figures to a minimum.

Also carry out daily checks, monitoring and recording issues relating to machines, quality and housekeeping.

Conversion -This is a responsible role & rewarding role which involves rewinding master rolls to finished product including determining the running speed of the machine to achieve the correct output and quality hence, to achieve targets. There will be various forms & documentation to complete throughout the shift which must be accurate & legible. You will be expected to adhere to company procedures including Health & Safety.

Production operators will be expected to adhere to company procedures including health and safety. Plus carry out various other duties

Previous Extrusion experience or working with a similar manufacturing environment is ideal but not necessary as training will be provided.

Must have good verbal and written communication skills, be able to work as a team

Hours of work will be average of 42hrs per week 12 hour shifts, rotating days and nights.

Starting rate: exceeds Nation Living wage
