Financial Accountant

Weir Minerals Europe is part of the Weir Group plc, the business has been established for over 100 years and is a world leader in the design and manufacture of pumps, valves, cyclones, vibrating screen machines, crushers and other associated equipment for the mining and minerals processing industries. Our organisation currently has 800 employees throughout Europe with over 400 based in Todmorden, which sits on the edge of both Lancashire and West Yorkshire.

The Financial Accountant Role

You will be working in a large fast paced Finance team.

Financial Accountant responsibilities include:

- Focus on treasury and managing our foreign exchange risk through hedging.

- Cash flow forecasting across 14 branches/subsidiaries

- Process review / improvement relating to treasury function

- Balance sheet review and control across region

- Financial controls reviews

- Management accounting support for UK / overseas.

- Provide support to Financial Controller on tax and audit

- Support of regional projects and initiatives as required.

- Month end delivery – foreign currency & intercompany mark ups

- Supporting the closure of the European Region

- Quarterly forecasting

- Annual Budgeting

Experience & Skills needed to become our Financial Accountant:

- Strong SAP experience

- Good Excel skills

- Effective communicator

- Proven experience of working in a fast paced finance department

- Ideally ACCA qualified or studying towards
