What it’s about
Cambridge Assessment International Education is looking for an experienced Events Co-ordinator to join the Events Team, working in a busy and fast moving working environment. The Events Team delivers a worldwide programme of conferences, events and awards ceremonies to support the promotion and positioning of Cambridge International in a global market. As Events Co-ordinator you will lead and co-ordinate on key event delivery areas for our three global, annual Cambridge Schools Conferences and a range of other events. Your work will positively contribute to the overall team delivery of each conference and event, ensuring specific objectives are achieved and that delegates have a positive, educational and engaging experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Based in our Cambridge office, you will lead and co-ordinate on key event delivery areas, such as venue and supplier liaison, promotional activity and delegate management for three global, annual Cambridge Schools Conferences.
- In addition to conference planning and execution you will also plan, project manage and co-ordinate a personal portfolio of key global and internal events to a high standard.
- All events will be delivered on time, to budget and in line with strategic and event specific objectives.
- You will track individual event costs, ensuring costs are managed and events are delivered to the allocated budget.
- Provide accurate event reports for managers and key stakeholders demonstrating the value delivered by each event and summarising staff and customer feedback, monitoring efficacy of each event against pre-agreed KPIs.
- Co-ordinate financial transactions relating to regional events: raising purchase orders and process supplier invoices through SAP.
- Co-ordinate the ordering, collation and despatch of events equipment, literature and merchandise by liaising with the warehouse and other stakeholders involved.
- Work with our brand manager and designers to create bespoke conference materials, such as brochures, branded signage and other printed materials.
- Monitor and report on events activity.
What we’re looking for
Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player, who is flexible and able to work as part of a busy team. You will be well organised and able to keep to tight deadlines under pressure whilst taking full responsibility for and prioritising your own workload. You will have experience of managing workloads from multiple sources and experience of cross team working, ideally gained in events or marketing environment. Experience of co-ordinating conferences and exhibitions is essential.
You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be methodical, accurate and have an eye for detail. You should have good PC skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel. Applicants should be degree educated or equivalent and have a good general education (5 GCSEs at grade A*-C, or equivalent, including Maths and English). An additional qualification in events management or marketing is desirable.
