Our client is a leading provider of financial education, guidance and advice in the workplace. 

They currently have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join their team and provide exceptional support for a variety of activities. This role is suited to anyone who is in their early stages of their finance career or have an interest in pursuing a career within the accountancy field.

Your responsibilities will include the processing of purchase, sales ledger and intercompany invoices, the updating of sales orders and the posting of bank transactions.  You will assist in compiling supplier payment runs for processing and investigate variances or queries within the managements accounts as requested. You will also support the Finance team in other ad-hoc duties.

The successful candidate will ideally have an Accountancy / Finance qualification such as AAT, or is prepared to start studying for a formal accounting qualification. Good time management skills and the capacity to work to deadlines is also a must, as is the ability to remain calm and professional in all interactions.

Experience in the processing of financial data and / or using an accounting system is preferred however not essential, and you will ideally be competent in the use of MS Excel.

This is a full time, permanent position and will be based at their offices in Liverpool.
