40 hours per week / full year basis

5 days per week, will include either a Saturday or Sunday

Salary Range: £16,500 - £18,500   per annum

Based at our Shuttleworth campus, we require a Technician in Animal Care to participate in the care of animals on the unit; to include farm, pet and exotic species. You will need to prepare resources and provide support to teaching staff during practical sessions. You will contribute to the day to day running of the Animal Care Unit including the cat chalets

To be shortlisted for this vacancy you will meet the essential criteria which includes; Level 3 qualification in relevant subject (Animal Management / Animal Science), English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent. Relevant current vocational experience in the animal care sector and Experience of caring for a wide range of animals to include farm, pet and exotic species (chelonian, snakes, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and exotic mammals).
