Our new matrix maintenance strategies will provide new ways of working and innovative thinking, attracting the most talented individuals to work in a modern Digitised University Estate.

Role

You will be responsible for the supervision of reactive repairs using a proprietary CAFM system (PLANON) and day-to-day planning of a team that maintains and repairs a wide range of Electrical and Mechanical installations/equipment and Plant across the University Estate.

You will be customer focused and will be a member of the Estates Building Services and Engineering team, however will work very closely with the Fabric Maintenance team also, to provide specialist support and knowledge and ensure that work is carried out in an efficient and systematic way. You will also provide specialist support to enable Faculties and Departments to deliver high quality customer focussed services and a safe stable environment for staff and students.

You will assist the Services & Maintenance Managers in developing, improving and adapting the service, through providing on-the-job knowledge and experience and informing them of issues and feedback received from customers and within the team updating and technically completing work requests in a timely manner, keeping customer informed of progress and any issues, in line with service level agreements.

Ideal Candidate

You will have proven experience of working in conjunction with Services & Maintenance Managers, the day-to-day reactive work of Mechanical & Electrical team members and contractors for and large company or organisation, pre-empting changes in operational needs and ensuring the effective deployment of staff and resources.
